Requirements

• Windows 10 build 17763 (version 1809) or later
• Node.js 22.0.0 or later
• Chrome (Stable) or any Chromium-based browser

Installation

1. Install the DevBridge Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store
2. Install Node.js from nodejs.org
3. Add the MCP server config to your AI tool (see Configure MCP Server)
4. Run your AI tool — the MCP server starts automatically and installs the native messaging host on first run

Notes

• The MCP server communicates with the extension via a local named pipe on Windows
• Antivirus software may prompt on first run — allow node.exe to communicate locally
